Service type
Scaffold erected to give safe access for roof repairs caused by Storm Eunice
Address
Avisford Park Hotel, Walberton
Storm Eunice had severally damaged the flat roof of the hotel. The flat roof felt had been completely ripped from the boards causing interior flooding. Scaffolding was erected to allow for safe access to the roof.
Summary of works
Our customer required scaffolding to be erected to the front elevation of the building so that repairs could be made to the windows and dormers safely. We had to consider continuous pedestrian and vehicle traffic. As well as this we had to section off areas with herris fencing. Our arrival and departure was prompt to prevent delays to office workers.
As the business was still operating where it could, we had to adhere to the customer’s timings and requirements, to prevent them for losing further revenue. A suitable design for the entire building to encapsulate the building, with the rear scaffold being specifically designed to keep weight off the roof, as part of the building was still in operation.
The project lasted for 6 months.
Points to consider
Section areas off as we worked for the health and safety of the general public.
